About Wainbee

Wainbee Limited was established in 1957 by the past Chairman of the Board, Edward Holden, as a manufacturer's agent and industrial distributor. The Company has grown to become one of Canada's leading providers of technical and supply chain solutions for automation and control with over 200 employees in 13 locations across Canada.

Products handled include pneumatics, hydraulics, air tools, machine tool elements, electro-motion actuators and controllers, and electronic controls. Our services are specialized, based on representing a limited number of closely associated lines, while at the same time providing good geographical coverage of Canada's industry. Our organization combines modern business management with continuity, sales, supply chain and engineering skills, and financial integrity.

Wainbee is an incorporated company, totally employee-owned and controlled by principal employee-shareholders who are active in the daily operations as the management team. The Company has pioneered broadly-based employee ownership and currently has more than two-thirds of its employees as shareholders. Wainbee also has a profit-sharing plan for all employees other than sales staff who have their own performance-based incentive plans.
