NEW: Force Sensing Actuators. For applications that require higher-accuracy force sensing than provided by monitoring motor current, Exlar offers load cell technology embedded in the GSX30, 40 & 50 and I 30 & 40 actuators. By sensing motor current, brushless servo technology can measure motor force to an accuracy of about +/-10%. The integrated units from Exlar offer force sensing to +/- 1%. The load cell is a strain gauge type, offering you stable and accurate compressive load sensing and optional tension load sensing for static or dynamic loads. The packaging of the strain gauge is integral to the actuator’s housing and offers a compact, protected, and robust design. This packaging eliminates the cumbersome assembly of load cells into systems that require precise alignment resulting in vulnerable moving wires that are inconvenient and easily damaged. Read more
