PMC Series of Couplings by CPC: Perfect for General Purpose Use
These connectors offer a 1/8-inch flow and are perfect for a broad range of general-purpose tasks. With the unique CPC thumb latch, this series is more user-friendly than standard ball-and-sleeve connector designs are. Able to mate with both MC metal and PMC12 polypropylene couplings, the PMC series by CPC provides the flexibility of multiple configurations and terminations.
Extra protection for hose barb
More than 40 different models including NSF-listed couplers are available from Wainbee in this series. Among the key features of each unit are a hose-barb shroud, which provides extra protection for the 1/16-inch hose barb, and integral terminations, which offers such advantages as fewer leak points, shorter assemblies, and quicker installation. The PMC coupling makes an audible click when connected, to ensure users of a dependable connection every time.
Technical specifications of the PMC series:
• Pressure: vacuum to 120 pounds per square inch
• Temperature: -40 to 82 degrees Celsius
• Materials: acetal main components and valves; stainless steel thumb latch; 316 stainless steel valve spring; stainless steel external springs and pin; and Buna-N O-rings
• Colour: natural white, with other options available
• Tubing sizes: inner diameter from 1.6 to 6.4 millimetres
The NSF-compatible models are designed for food-processing applications and are superior to general fittings for fluid control since they incorporate built-in shutoff valves. This allows users to disconnect tubing without needing to shut off the water supply.
The series can work with Nu-Seal® quick-disconnect coupling inserts, each of which features a patented integral seal and is compliant with USP Class VI because of its high chemical resistance. These translucent, economical inserts are recommended for applications that need limited connect/disconnect cycles. The integral seal enables disposability and offers leak-free connections, and the low-density polyethylene material is sterilizable by Et0, E-beam, and gamma. Nu-Seal® quick-disconnect coupling inserts mate with MC and PMC12 couplings as well as the PMC series. They are compatible with inner diameters of 3.2 millimetres.
